The New Blonde for 2010
The new hot hue blondes are now converting from platinum to a spectrum of honey and caramel blonde color. Celebrity Blondes have suddenly changed their hair color to a warmer, richer wearable lower maintenance blonde shade than the platinum blonde shades that have been copied by every celebrity and fashionista.
Honey and caramel blondes give just that look of healthy natural , less root re-growth and is also less harsh on the hair. The shades are easy to wear with most skin tones. Caramel is a rich, soft shade of gold that can compliment many hair colors. Caramel color can also be called a bold light brown or dark iridescent blonde shade that can coordinate with many hair colors.
When choosing your honey blonde first always consider skin tone. There are different tones of warm honey as seen on Blake Lively and also muted shades like Jennifer Aniston’s hair color that works great on warmer skin color. Cooler skin tones should use a beige or buttery shade or you could be looking a little yellow. There are three ways to effectively use these shades in your hair:
- Overall Color: Suggested for individuals with warm skin tones and dark eyes, Caramel is fantastic shade.
- Lowlights: By using a deep caramel hue it can add depth and drama to blonde hair. These shades only work well with warm blonde hair shades. Be carefull to add it with ashy blonde or cool shades it will look out of place.
- Highlights: Natural caramel highlights work best with a base hair color of medium brunette to blonde and for more dramatic highlights a darker base hair color. They can add richness to beautiful burnette hair.
With color treated hair remember it can fade. See my another blog post for tips on control hair color fading( Keep Hair Color From Fading ).
